TV: L Word, Who, Oz, etc...

Oh dear. Just finished watching The L Word season five. A spectacular fall from grace after an excellent season four. A ludicrous season where the unbelievably annoying Jenny has her book turned into a film, and she becomes the director (despite having no directorial experience). And then she gets betrayed by her little lesbian assistant Adele who then takes over the movie (despite having no directorial experience). There’s so much in this season about the movie, and yet it adds nothing to the plot at all.
The season actually only has a handful of really good moments, and yet again, Pam Grier completely wastes her time playing an abysmal character (in one hilarious plot twist, she decides to shoot the owners of a rival nightclub who have taken over her business - sooo ridiculous and she doesn’t go through with it). Max is nowhere to be seen, the prison scenes with Helena are ridiculous, Papi disappears without a mention, and Jodi takes a really stupid revenge on the ever-miserable Bette at the end, which is totally out of character...
Just watched the new Who. Now everyone knows I’m not a huge fan these days, but I quite liked it - it was fun, and Catherine Tate brings a fresh new perspective to the show (weird that she’s doing this show - it’s not as if she needs to do it...). Next week’s looks good - with Pompeii and Etna about to explode - that’s what Who is missing, I think, the imminent danger aspect.
Other current viewings include the hilarious Apprentice, the awe-inspiring Project Runway and Oz season four...
I’d watch I’d Do Anything but it’s utter shite...
