Lacklustre

What the heck is going on with Final Crisis? Why is it so uneventful? What is happening? Secret Invasion is better – but only just. Come on, Bendis, give us a few more decent Skrull revelations please!

So how is "Secret Invasion" different to the crossover event that DC did back in the 1980s where a bunch of DC universe people (and one dog, if memory serves) turned out to be Manhunter robots (apart, you know, from "better" :) )?

But, yeah, what is going on with Final Crisis? I want to believe that Morrison knows what he's doing, because I'm such a fan of his other work -- I'm loving All-Star Superman -- but...huh?

I hope Secret Invasion pays off.
I mean, yeah, we've got some Skrulls who've been posing as heroes - but that shouldn't be it. If they've been planning it all for years, what exactly have they been planning, and what's it all leading up to. I reeeally hope he's thought this through, rather than just watched Battlestar Galactica and thought the Cylons concept was cool enough to rip off...

Well, actually, while we're on the subject...is it just a coincidence that all these cylons posing as humans are in some way connected to the crew of the one battlestar to survive the Cylon attack? I'm just asking... :)

And still on the subject of coincidences: lo and behold, DC are reprinting that 1980s miniseries in a trade paperback out this week. First time it's ever been reprinted, and it comes out in the middle of Marvel's Secret Invasion. Spoiling tactic, do you think?
