I'm Not a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

What is a celebrity these days?? It's all changed hasn't it. I mean, in my day, the celebs that appeared on... what was that game show with des o'connor, and nine celebs in noughts and crosses boxes... well they were all celebs then.
So the new series of I'm A Celebrity starts and what do we get? An old Met police chief - not a celebrity! And two WAGS! Not celebrities by any stretch of the imagination. I don't even know these girls' names!!
But oh well, one of the WAGS made enough of an impression to get voted to do a 'Bushtucker trial' so she obviously made some impression on the viewers...

Another show well past its sell-by date. But no doubt it will pull in the ratings -- and ITV needs all the help that it can get in that department.

That said...it's up against the first episode of the Beeb's Survivors remake next week. It would be a shame if people skipped watching a new drama for this tired old noonsense...

When they get the right mix on I'm A Celeb, it can be quite entertaining. I'm kinda worried they all might get along a bit too well at the moment - altho Robert Kilroy Silk is there, isn't he...
I'll definitely be watchign Survivors - let's hope it's as good as Dead Set. I wonder if Frema's acting will have deteriorated any further...

Oh, and isn't it funny how Survivor never caught on over here - and yet the utterly dumbed-down i'm A Celeb proved to be a smash hit. I guess it says a lot. I mean, what do they do on I'm A Celeb? Just sit around a camp fire arguing.
